The Project
About the Alabama River Clean Water Partnership
All proceeds will benefit your Alabama River through the Alabama River Clean Water Partnership, a non-profit organization interested in bringing interested citizens and water users together, in a neutral forum in order to identify water related issues and challenges, becoming part of the solution for long-term water quality improvement and conservation in a non-regulatory way.
Targeted educational experiences include: The non-traditional scavenger hunt associated with the sculpture display, the Clean Water Partnership’s 5th grade watershed curriculum, a homeowners workshop on septic tank maintenance, Business Partners for Clean Water, Montgomery Water Festival and Autauga County Water Festival.
Targeted-on-the-ground projects include: development and implementation of a restoration plan for Cypress Creek and Inlet located in downtown Montgomery, development and implementation of a watershed plan for the impaired Pintlala Creek, and removal of excess sediment from selected Autauga County creeks.
